November 5th, 2016, Tauranga, The Historic Village,

The FPONZ Executive Committee met for the second time this year in Tauranga. We were hosted by members of the local Polish community - Polish Community Trust, Bay of Plenty.
FPONZ organisations were represented by members from Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch & Dunedin and met at the offices of Multicultural Tauranga, in the Historic Village.

The AGM aimed mainly to discuss current activities, talk about cooperation and partnerships & plan for the next year and beyond. The focus was also to identify objectives for our long term, constructive and collaborative working relationship with the Polish Embassy and Government.

It was agreed to continue to work and focus collectively on the following areas:
- Polish education;
- Polish culture and preservation of Polish heritage;
- Communication and wider networking;
The meeting also included a Skype session with the Polish Ambassador, Mr Zbigniew Gniatkowski and concluded with the election of a new Executive Committee.

Next meeting of FPONZ is scheduled for March, 2017 in Auckland.

Sincere thanks to local organisation, to Ewa Niedzielski and Ewa Fenn for your cordial hospitality, The Ambassador Zbigniew Gniatkowski for inspirational insights and FPONZ members for constructive discussions and positive approach.
