What is the best way to store my precious family papers?  How can I preserve my family photographs? Where do I begin?
The National Preservation Office at the Alexander Turnbull Library can help you. The Office provides free  preservation advice and assistance in the care of personal and community documentary heritage collections. Wherever you are in Aotearoa New Zealand we are able to help you.

As well as advice, the Office provides preservation workshops and seminars to community groups on the best ways to care for and preserve their collections. We regularly work with colleagues at Te Papa National Services and Archives New Zealand to provide preservation advice and workshops around the country.

The Office has produced a range of publications on the care of family collections, photographs, books and sound – these are available online here: http://natlib.govt.nz/collections/caring-for-your-collections

If you would like a print copy email  preservation@dia.govt.nz  and we will post it to you.
