News From The Embassy 2015 Part 1

The latest newslatter of the Polish embassy reviews the initiatives inspired and oraganized by the Polish Embassy in Wellington this year (part one). Here is a short summary.

September 2015

As no doubt many of you have noticed, August was not a technologically friendly month for us. After 2 months of trials we finally got our website the way we wanted it. However an unexpected storm in a far away land together with the summer holidays in that part of the world resulted in the server's lack of cooperation. It could not be fixed. So a false start.

A young woman suddenly discovers a secret family. Cousin is very similar to the great-grandmother, whose portrait hangs in the museum. Coincidence? Why would a woman looking for twenty years old has such a rich experience, and about Tsarist Russia speaks as of yesterday? Is tincture of longevity master Sedziwoj is just a legend?

New Zealand - Pacific - Asia In Poland

On July 9th 2015, the conference ‘Asia and Pacific Day’ took place at the Sejm in Warsaw. This event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Polish Institute of Foreign Affairs along with other relevant government agencies.

The restaurant Ambasada Pacifiku' is the only one in Poland where Australian and Oceanic Culture is promoted . Our specialities are fish and exotic seafood. Our philosophy is to promote culture and education. Every month we organise cultural evenings. We hosted an amazing Pitcairn Island Evening with Marek Ułan-Szymański and Mateusz Konopacki's film which they filmed on Pitcairan Island.
